Staff listen petary now past care was not good now things have changed for the better. Feel more safe on the wards Ashbrook is better than before. Leave isnt clarified need more clear to patients.

Thank you for providing feedback about Maplebeck . I am sorry you have had a disappointing admission to this ward. Your experiences are a long way from what we aim to deliver and I would therefore be really keen to talk to you in order to be able to address your concerns. We are in the process of delivering a training package for staff around customer service and I will ensure the points you raise will be included within that. Dignity and Respect In the meetings I have had with the psychiatrist I did "feel involved enough in decisions made about" me. I was given "timely information about" my "treatment" by the psychiatrist. About my care I don't think i have been involved with it on the ward. For example, I wasn't made aware that any conversations and or interactions I had (have) with members of staff or patients are documentor written down. I keep my bed space i.e my room and toilet area clean and tidy.the rest of the ward i.e Maplebeck ward Lynfield Mount Hospital Bradfordiskept as clean as can be expected considering us the patients. Every time i am in my room i am looked in on. i was never informed that would take place. Most of the time the staff just knock on your room door and then walk in while shouting hello are you in. I thought I was to consider Maplebeck Ward Lynfield Mount Hospital Bradford to be my home for the period of time I am an inpatient. If that is suppose to be the case, why don't those looking in on my whereabouts give me time to reply before barging into my room and my privacy? Or is privacy something I am not allowed being a mental health inpatient? Communication, communication, communication is poor among a significant number of the staff who work and or visit Maplebeck ward, Lynfield Mount Hospital, Bradford. Simple things such as identifying themselves and stating their job title as well as their reason for engaging with you are not done. Why? A staff member you have never spoken to before or seen may just call your name and begin asking you questions sometimes in an off hand manner. I feel belittled and degraded when this occurs to me.

I have not been given a discharge date. Using I.T., this format to ask some of (us) the patients to review their care may exclude a significant percentage of us.We may have literacy issues, may not be able to engage with the review system via this medium, I.T. May not have access to I.T. This process is exclusive not inclusive i think. I think it would be interesting to see data comparing the patients/clients/service users who use /have used the BDCT (or whatever is the in name for us patients at the moment) within a period of time against those patients/clients/service users who have actually accessed and used this I.T. service to leave a review. I think there should be hard copies to fill in, as well as health care professionals asking us patients to go through the review process with us.
